Not exactly what we hoped for, but

If you read my post yesterday, you know that my daughter's high school team was playing in the championship game in the county tournament last night.

I'm sad to say that they did not win but it was a very competitive game and they only lost by 5 points. 32-37. Maya scored 16 points. She was a rock star and I am over the moon proud of her.

Although they didn't win, the girls walk away with second place in their county tournament. That is nothing to hang your head about! Of course there was disappointment last night with my daughter and her teammates, but I hope they remember this game with pride. Because they are awesome!

Not only did their team earn second place, three girls on Maya's team earned a spot on the All Tournament Team. Miss Maya included. :)

I am so, so proud of my daughter that I can't even express it with words. So, here is a pic of my baby girl with the team's 2nd place plaque and her All Tournament Team award.
